Changing the last modified date

Is there a workaround so the file last modified date is not changed when encrypting or decrypting?

thanks

EFS itself does not preserve the last modified date but the EFS Assistant does. It should preserve reset the last modified date after it has encrypted each file. It does the same thing for folders, but the last modified date gets updated when you write a new file into a folder. Because encrypting a file counts as writing a file to a folder, the folder's last modified date will get reset to the time the tool ran unless the folder is empty.

If you use EFS encryption outside of the tool, it will not preserve last modifed date.

If you are seeing these dates get reset by the tool, please let me know or log an issue.

Thanks,

Now that I have investigated this issue closer, I realized that EFS Assistant did preserve the last modification date and the date was changed after I decrypted the files (using cipher /d as EFS Assistant can't be used to decrypt)...
